Hi Danny,
If you just want the line from one person to another, then use the
Relationship Calculator on the Tools Ribbon - see the Print options there.
If you want all the direct ancestors without their siblings, then you
want an Ancestor Chart, not a Descendant Chart.
If you want an ancestor
The country verifier is correct. There is no such place as Orleans Parrish.
I’d recommend you try a spell checker first.

Is it possible to make a descendant chart from one ancestor down to a single
descendant, without including all the siblings who are NOT ancestors of the
descendant?
This is something I want to do OFTEN, but I don't know which chart to choose
and I can't see which boxes to check or un-check to
Before contacting Support, I would first make sure you have re-booted the
computer which I assume you have done several times and the problem still
exists. It sounds like a display issue to me so I would then double check to
make sure you have the latest video driver installed.

Thanks Jenny. My annoyance at the feature is exacerbated by the fact that I
tend to work in a split screen mode. Legacy is effectively only half the width
of the monitor screen and the other half is devoted to various research windows
outside of the Legacy program, browsers, documents,

Don, I'm sorry I don't have an answer for your dilemma, but TNG also
maintains an email list for its users and it has quite a few programmer
types involved there as well as the owner/creator of the software. If
there is a way to do what you need, they might be able to help. A large

Hi Arthur,

Nice thought, but that would apply to the other address too - Harrogate

Whatever the explanation, I'd like to know what's going on. I've

Hi Wendy
Thanks for your comments. As you'll have seen from my other posts, I
still have concerns over some issues, but the updates situation is
something that I think I can live with.

Arthur, I just read several of the GENSOFT reviews. As I did not read them
all, I cannot make comprehensive statements, but of those I read EVERY ONE
of the negative reviews focused on a single problem that Legacy had. The
positive reviews were nearly all 5 star, and comments indicated it was
I use the Ancedtor Father's chart, as it includes the spouse of each direct
line male ancestor. It looks great with pictures added as far back as I
have them.

I've obviously read more than you have, then. On the first page (most
recent 20 reviews) the problems include:
Irritation with Potential Problems feature
Report layout issues (at least 3 different ones mentioned)
Installation issues (missing DLLs)
Research Guidance lost when upgrading

Just to add to the mix, here is another option that has been mentioned on
this list a number of times. It works for some people and others dislike it.
It works for me because I seldom record street addresses, and when I do it
is in notes. But I do like to record hospital, church, and cemetery

To add to my previous post, I have now found how to merge addresses in
