Jack,
You can copy and paste your Word document text into Legacy into the
Stories section. You need a separate "story" for each picture you want
to include as you can only include one picture per story in output. You
can use the Title of the second "story" for a sub-header or put it in
Hi am new to this forum. I recently asked similar questions of my PC User

Over the years of retirement I have recalled and recorded stories in my PC of
my parents and their families. I have about 40 stories covering 25 typed Word
pages. When finished I would have some pictures included also.
I would like to get this into Legacy under the stories section of each
You make a good point, Jack. Raw data and narrative are two

where I got the information. It is not the data itself.

Hi, Jenny,
I assumed Kathy did not have the electronic e-mails, only hard-copy print-outs
of them. If she has actual e-mails, I agree I would copy and paste.
My reason for posting, however, was to point out that if she puts the
transcriptions (or copy/paste) only in the Source, not in the
Thanks everyone; I do not have the electronic emails in this case; I
printed them out 7 years ago (ok, I admitted it; I print things out
and stuff them in a file to work on later and it's much, much later!)
Otherwise, I would definitely copy/paste; these are fairly long emails
so will take some
