I finally cured the issue of not seeing the Legacy News or Updates on the

The issue finally turned out to be an unknown setting in Internet Explorer
that was blocking Legacy from making a call to IE. I went into the Settings

Is there advanced tagging for marriages? I'm trying to tag all marriages
where the Research Notes contain a particular note, but I can't seem to
find a way to do it. This is easily accomplished for Individuals, but
doesn't seem to be an option for Marriages.
Thanks,

I erroneously had Legacy FamilySearch update some individuals who were not
in Sync (thus red-green, green-red, or red-red) to in Sync (green-green).
Is there a way to have Legacy FamilySearch reset this? No actual data is
changing in either LFT or LFS, I just need to either tell the program to
It is on the suggestion asking the programmers to make the marriage tagging
like the regular individual advance tagging.

It's in the Legacy FamilySearch integration module in the Left side
panel. You may need to widen that panel to see it.
There are 4 buttons above the list of people in the Left panel -
Surname, Name List, Auto Match and Update Matches

Is there a way to "associate" an individual who is not related to an
individual in the database? For instance, a very close friend. Thanks!

I don't even see an Update Matches listed in the help file, much less in
the program. Where can I find that?

Add them as an unlinked person and then share an Event with them. You
could have an Event called Close Friends.
I've got letters written to my mother by various friends. So I'm
thinking of doing this so that I can note things about them I learn from
the letters. I may also add the information
Thanks, Cathy! Excellent suggestion!

No there is no advanced tagging for marriages. You can remove a
particular marriage tag all at once in the Marriage list but you can't
set a group to a particular tag despite the name of one of the Options.
I'm sure there is a suggestion logged for this but it wouldn't hurt to
send it in.
I would like to print an extended family chart that shows all of my relatives'
children. Is there such a chart in Legacy? If so, I'm not finding it. (Family
Tree Maker has one.) The closest I can come is the All-in-One chart at
MyHeritage and it is not complete. To even get that chart, I must

I have noticed that new added people do not always show up in the index
straight away. You can cause it to refresh by putting the cursor in say the
firstname or family name box near the top of the index.
