No Legacy has to be installed onto the actual
computer. I know a few programs these days can
be installed and run from external drives but not many.
I assume you are asking because you want to move from computer to computer.
You can have your databases and media on an external drive.

I agree with all of your steps and also follow the same process myself.
In the merge process I take it one step further before I begin the main
merge into my masterfile, I 'clean-up ' the smaller file location names and
also any incomplete dates (I add abt, aft, bef or bet.. on any

done that before. Check/repair alone did not help.

Do a Search using the Detailed Search tab, and use: Individual, Tag 5,
Equal To, Untagged. Uncheck other conditions, and tick Clear List
before this search, and click on Create List. When the list comes up,
click on the Options button at the bottom of the list, and select
Advanced Tagging; use
SearchLook for whom: Individual, Where to look: Tag 5, How to look: Equal
To, What to look for: Untagged

From list click on OptionAdvanced Tagging
on the advanced tagging screen tic Tag, Make changes to Tag 6, Click on
button Everyone in Search List.
