It is great that Legacy keeps on updating. I happened to see it last
night and did the upgrade.

Open up the Name List and at the bottom of that screen click PRINT. This is

Michele,
Thanks for the location.
Under the options there is no place for User Id (only Rin).
Rin's may chance but User Id's do not.
I do not want to print everyone in my family tree.
Maybe printing only ones tagged by one of the 9 tabs?
Is this possible?

Sorry it is not there in the newest update 8.0.0.473.
Under other reports tab, the following are missing from the list Mary
Clifford has in her report:
Family file trees, LDS Ordinances, Name List report, Surname Summary.
There is a new one listed: Source Labels.
So where is it?

Cathy, I just love this report - like you said there's a lot of power

Thanks. This works. I guess everything is in Legacy. It is just a

I don't use Clooz - I tried it out years ago. What stuck was the Clooz
method of filing paper under type and then number. Brilliant. And so
long as you enter the File ID in Legacy, it's very easy to find the
piece of paper you want.

I file all my documents by number. Once numbered they go in an acid free

I don't recommend relying on RINs and MRINs for filing your papers -
there are times when you need to renumber the RINs and MRINs and the
numbers you have filed by may be changed. Also if you're not super
careful when doing a merge, you could lose the RIN or MRIN you filed
by.

It will make changes directly to the Legacy database. (needs to be before

And it's written specifically as a tool for Legacy, whereas Access is the
format that Legacy database is stored in, the potential for an error that

Yes, Jay, I have LTools. But it is limited in what I need to do and (as you
suggest) has issues with v.8 of Legacy. It has been a big help to me, though,
for figuring out what the various tables in the .fdb file are for.
