Hello Joe
Colors are practical as long as they are easy to tell appart (7 different
colors may be a practical maximum).
Also they stop working under disco light, which is something we suddenly
dicovered. ;)
You need white lights on your "score stand".

So you're only adding your tempo markings to one context? And now you're going
Hi Kieren,
Thanks, and I agree. The nuisance is that you have to count all the silent bars
where there aren't any tempo changes, which is far less convenient than simply
adding a \tempo "Allegro" at the relevant place in the score! I always miscount
by at least 1. As this particular score has

It does, and I use
Hi Ch'uqi,
Thanks for this. I have to put in the tempo markings for each stave, but that's
easier than counting all the silent bars in Simon's solution.
I can see that with a score which has several staves needing tempo markings
Simon's solution works better, but for two yours is my choice.
Hello again
I know see from other posts that there is something called "EasyHeads" that may
be relevant for my project.

Hello Andrew
That could be a great idea. If one can make the color change with note pitch,
and allow for chords (triads in our case), and take into the account that the
flat/sharp notes uses number notation rather than colors..

HI Hallvard,
You can make my example code into a musiuc function to make it easier to
use, but first let's see if it is approximately what you want.
