Perl is configured by default to comaplain about this in debian.

Another problem is that the xkb documentation is much older then the
headers and some of the functions are not the same (in parameters)
then in the documentation.
I don't believe that this part has radically changed

If no compressed filesystems are available or recommended for Kernel
2.4.18, I'll just targzip the desktop files into a few *.tar.gz files
and hope I'll not need to access individual files from them too frequently.
