Hi,
I asked a question a few weeks ago and never thanked Greg KH or Johannes
Erdfelt for their help. The problem actually went away during an upgrade,
so I stopped looking for the cause. Thanks anyway.
What I'm doing now, though, is trying to get Cups queues to be added
and removed as appropri

Hi ,
That sound was me hitting a wall; I have exceeded my skill level. I may be
able to build a module, but I need a better understanding of what you see.
What line(s) in the msgs suggest that scsi is not fully built? The 2 scsi HDs

Yup, that's it. I'd call it a crappy H/W however it more or less works under
Windows and that scarries me a lot, because now I'm nore sure whether it's just
a faulty piece of H/W or the whole brand is not worth playing with. I've seen
many posts that people got it to work ( 9pin and 25pin versions
Can you build it?

You'll need to post the information requested in the FAQ to help debug the
problem. It is probably a BIOS problem.

It is trying to load the SCSI CDROM module and failing which suggests you
don't have SCSI built fully for your kernel.

I had a very similar problem with the Belkin adapter using the mct_u232
and never could get it to work. I had very similar problems - minicom
would freeze up after sending a few characters.
One thing I noticed is that when the adapter was attached to a windows box
and working, the tx and rx ligh
Hi all,
I've tried to use MCT U232-P25 ( 0x711/0x230 ) usb-serial convetor
with kernel 2.4.18 ( usb-uhci, usbserial, mct_u232 ) but hasn't got any good
results at all. When I connected to another unix system's serial console
I was able to see received chars but was not able to send any ( 9600 8N1
Hi all;
My name is Wayne. I have some problems with my USB DiskOnKey (EasyDisk).
Currently,
I am running Red-hat 7.1 and Linux kernel 2.5.2. When I plug in the USB
DiskOnKey
(EasyDisk), it seems that the kernel will detect it but there are errrors
to mount it.

Dear USB-List,
I'm new to USB and I seem to have a Linux prob recognising a USB Key Drive.
This devise works ok on WinXP; it pops up as a removeable hard drive and I
can write to it and read it.
When I plug it in on SuSE 8.0 there is a reassuring 'beep' from the system,
but the device does no
