.0 compiled nicely after installing the qt4 development stuff and LyX now
runs great (Ubuntu and OS X) and solves the subfigure issues.

Yes, this finally solves my problem! I installed TeX Live from DVD,
then looked at the screenshots on your blog page, and I am now able to
mix English and Chinese. Very nice. I also find I can use the fonts
you provide on your web page without problem, and thus get the regular

I'm having trouble viewing Chinese characters using 1.5.0rd2 in
Windows XP (installed from scratch using the "Installer-bundle", with
MikTeX). Chinese characters are displayed in the editor, but are not

In my document I have some large figures which end up on a page by themself.
How do I make the pagestyle of this page empty?
I've tried to put \thispagestyle{empty} inside the float. However that only made
the page where the float was defined empty. Which is not what I want.

s use xpdf which lets you mark a rectangular section and puts it into
the X-buffer. It can then be pasted into an editor with the middle button.

is not in the LyX scripts but in convert.
2. When using pdflatex LyX still asks for a png resulting in no output.
When doing the conversion to pdf manually and including them into the lyx
file everyting looks as it should with the right bounding box.
To conclude I have found
1. LyX does not recognize the newly defined file-format Ipe
2. LyX does not convert to pdf even if the converter is defined,
But note: only when executing pdflatex.
I use lyx 1.3.5-qt on a RedHat 9.
Are those bugs or some converter I forgot to define. Should I post a bug
to bugzilla?

So by pressing M-r the macro creates a ERT put \rb{} into it and closes it.
