my earlier Google search as I got almost nothing. Many different solutions
of varying complexities on this list for this problem.
What worked for me was deleting the C:\Documents and
Settings\v_boston\Application

I recently installed Lyx 1.5.1 on a WinXP Pro system, seemed to work fine. I
installed some additional MiKtex packages and was reconfiguring Lyx when the
program froze. After restarting, I am no longer able to run Lyx - I get the
