your friend have everything involved (parent document, all child documents, all image files etc.) or just what you posted here? If the latter, perhaps you could send him everything (or, if he is unwilling, zip it all up and send it to me). It's possible the bug requires extra pieces to manifest

Dear all, I wonder if this is a bug?? When I use the \underbar I get an error message. See them below. In math box, I type x \underbar{x} \underbar{\alpha} What I get is the following. First x is italics. Ok. Second x comes with underbar, but pdf is not italic. Final equation crashes

BUG - Unable to view User Guide in PDF - UPDATE

Uwe, Installing the default MikTex via the Lyx installer fails. (A new bug?) So I updated the old MikTex from 2.5 to 2.8 and deleted and reinstalled Lyx 1.6 and referenced the tex.exe file in new MikTex . Now I get a different messages when I click on the PDF icon to obtain a PDF version
