You might also consider the todonotes package. There are two user-contributed modules available for this on the wiki. Same for the pdfcomment package that lets you input real PDF annotations. http://wiki.lyx.org/Layouts/Modules#toc2 Jürgen

insert custom layout
Hello, In most of the report writing i used the report class. The university that i am studying in have own class and i want to import it into LyX's document class by importing custom layout. The custom layout accepts only one .layout file, where as the my university 'liuthesis' contains several .tex file. Any hint? Regards Sajjad

So please explain why it was necessary for Guenter to preface the remark with "WRONG" in capital letters and how that was supposed to be taken? rh

For LyX 2.0 there is more time to update the translation (at least 2 month I think). It would be easier to find the time if I knew that there were people in addition to me that used these languages :). (send me a email). I promise anyway that I will come back and do better job for the next version. Yes, everybody using Norsk is hereby invited to work on the translation. thanks and regards Uwe

Trouble displaying Math Macros in Child documents
Dear All,When I define a math macro in a parent document, it doesn't display appropriately in the LyX child document. The output pdf is correct, but the display in the LyX file is not. Any help on fixing this for LyX 1.6.5 on Mac OS 10.6.3 would be appreciated. Attached are sample files and cropped screen shots of what I see. Thanks for any help! [Helge] Why did you download from CTAN? To get a special version? Debian has texlive within its package system. So the standard way of installing texlive on Debian, is something like: apt-get install texlive If you want *all* of texlive, even the lesser used stuff: apt-get install texlive-full This command will both download and install texlive. Texlive will then work, without any further action. [Marcelo] Thanks, but the version that comes with Debian is 2007!, is so old that when I am going to print, it asks to me that puts a clay tablet ;-) In this old version, babel only came with sumerian and hittite ;-) Regards Marcelo > Yahoo!
