Where can I find out how I can make LyX recognize the Type1 fonts on my system?
Is it mandatory to add the dirs in XF86Config first?

I'm using lyx-1.2-cvs with the article class. I want to insert a figure in
a float with the caption on the left side: ie: (I don't care where the
figure # goes, just the comments)

remotely works better from a performance perspective but VNC is a
cheaper and more stable approach (no crashes).

not find a LyX solution for this problem.
I have to edit the proceedings of a conference. I already imported
all the papers (normally written in Word) into LyX. I would like to
obtain something like a series of reports

latex since lyx-1.2 doesn't do minipage stuff (Thanks for the links

Large text, a couple line returns, then the caption that also has a few
