Re: Problem with a graph and its title
The only way it is unclickable (does this word exist?) is if you are inside an environment which doesn't allow it. You should be, inside the float, IN THE SAME LINE as your image. Then it should be allowed. Regards. Re: Pasting from pdf
I believe, dear Andrew, this is philosophical in nature. Lyx is based on Latex, so text is text, independently of how it looks in a PDF. Text changes its attributes depending on which environment it is included, information which I believe, would be impossible to get from a PDF via copy-paste. Making some text as Bold-Italic-Numbered-Size 14-Roman can be done in Lyx, but it is much better to say that such text is in a Section environment, because when changes on the document style are made, you only have to make them once, and not throughout the document, at every instance of said format. Finger painting, what you need, is not the way to go in Lyx/Latex. It should be avoided like the plague. I hope you see the need for this approach. Obviously, Andrew's documents follow some layout specifically designed for some journal, so for him this answer is straighforward. Nonetheless, for Lyx it doesn't matter, as it will be impossible to get this information from the PDF. BTW, Andrew, how did you manage to copy from a PDF and pasting on Abiword keeping the format? I was curious, so I tried with a simple PDF, but it only pasted plain text. Hi Solvi. You should start little by little. Try creating a new document exactly set up as your problematic document. Add only one paragraph to test it, and compile. On-the-fly spellchecker
Dear all. I have been using Lyx 2.0 (Windows 7) with very much delight. Nonetheless, there is a nagging problem that is more annoying than damaging. When the on-the-fly spellchecker signals a mistake, sometimes when you select the correct spelling, the cursor jumps to another instance of the mistake in the document. It is difficult to pinpoint the cause, as it is not frequent or predictable. It only happens every now and then. The document I'm working with is big and has many spelling mistakes (in Spanish). Have you seen this problem before? If you need more info, let me know how can I gather it. Keep the good work up. Regards. - Julio Rojas jcredbe...@gmail.com

It works, only not it seems not to work with Natbib. From apacite's manual: I consider natbib as the de facto standard with which other packages should be compatible. Unfortunately, apacite is still not entirely compatible with natbib. The main incompatibility is that different citation commands are used, so that it is not possible to use the same document with natbib or apacite. Re: asking how to change and - dan in bibliography
Hi Teguh. In the bibtex file (the one created with jabref) it isn't possible to do so, as the word and is a command. I think that if you defined the language as Indonesian in your document, and there is an indonesian translation in babel, it will be automatically switched to dan. Best regards. PS: BTW, how funny that in such differente languages as indonesian and english, the word uses the same three letters. :D - Julio Rojas jcredbe...@gmail.com On Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 4:23 AM, Hady Ariwibowo Teguh huget_te...@ymail.com wrote: Dear all, I wanna make my research proposal by using Lyx 1.6. Dear Pavel, in Spanish, the environment Table should be Cuadro, not Tabla, which is the environment Tableau. So, changes: Table = Cuadro Tableau = Tabla Regards. - Julio Rojas jcredbe...@gmail.com On Thu, Mar 31, 2011 at 2:40 AM, Pavel Sanda sa...@lyx.org wrote: Pavel Sanda wrote: Please go through all entries in the attached file for your language and ensure that they are correctly translated. So, changes: Table = Cuadro Tableau = Tabla I agree, it's absolutely right in tight Spanish, (http://www.tex-tipografia.com/spanish2.html) However: The usual practice in well known word processors (libreoffice, abiword, word...), and then the name generally used by the people, is tabla. Tabla was the used term when I started (~2007) and I have attempted to keep on the translations made by the preceding translators (yes, this is a weak argument...) If table=cuadro, then box=cuadro becomes confused and we need to change it, (maybe marco?) Otherwise, when the document is exported via latex, spanish-babel uses cuadro for table. In regard to tableau, defines some specific environments useful for linguistic, logics ... (linguistics.module) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Method_of_analytic_tableaux) In these contexts, tableaux is used as such in Spanish articles. Therefore, I don't think that Tabla is accurate in this case. Of course, suggestions or ideas about these issues are welcome, please. Regards Ignacio García

Dear Pavel, in Spanish, the environment "Table" should be "Cuadro", not "Tabla", which is the environment "Tableau". Oxigen, although I still don't like the icons for PDF, DVI and PS compilation in none of the three. Why the change? So I'm opening the poll right now, anyone interested can reply to this thread with - old - libreoffice - oxygen vote. At the end (perhaps tomorrow night) we will count them and winner will become the default. Pavel
