Something similar to 'end environment' can be done but is not very consistent with the current ways of dealing with environments. I doubt if this problem is in the bug/wish list of lyx. We can try to put this in the wish list though. That sounds like a good idea.. I'll check the wish

word in TeX mode ; it just open a new ERT box after the selected part of text. This was not the case on previous versions. What is the problem and its solution ? I think this was an intentional change made in the newer versions.. the way to insert ERT is to hit Ctrl-L (or the Tex button)
