I use lyx 1.3.4 and the package mathptmx to create a pdf which then is
manually processed with adobe acrobat. Sometimes there are difficulties and I
have been asked, whether the fonts are embeddet in the pdf file. Is there a
way to control or change this?

Now I reinstalled lyx (with all miktex and so on) because I rearranged my
harddrive.
If I now want to create a pdf of an existing file using ps2pdf, I get only a
blank page. dvi and pdflatex works. Unfortunately I need ps2pdf...
Check Tools-Preferences-Converters-Postscript-PDF (ps2pdf). The
converter is usually ps2pdf13, but I suppose it could be different in
your setup. Assuming it is, there should be a ps2pdf13.bat file in the
MikTeX bin directory (along with ps2pdfxx.bat and ps2pdfxx.exe).

I have a problem with the quality of jpg-images.
I have a jpg image with best quality, made with coreldraw (actually I use
coreldraw to to work on the existing jpg-file, which contains function-graphs
and other curves)
When I open it, the quality is good, there are no little dots from the

I exported my file to a .pdf which worked fine for linux and windows98
But when I tried to open it with a mac, the pi and the infinity symbol were
gone... There was just white space.
