I upgraded to Lyx 2.3.6 version from 2.1.x on two Intel Macs over the
weekend—one running Mojave and the other OS Vsn 12.6.1. Lyx ran without a
hitch on the Mojave machine. The Vsn 12 machine would not convert template
files so I could not access my old documents. The error message said

Inserting a hyperlink will create an active link in the compiled PDF document

toward the new user directory perfectly solved the problem
Copy one of them, change it in LyX, and run diff on them. That will give
you an idea about the perl/sed command you can use to fix that.

I am facing an irritating Lyx crash on opening files (File->Open->Select
file from dialog->Click Open).
I am on Kubuntu 22.04 Jammy, updated to the latest recommended versions
of Qt libs etc.
This has been happening since I upgraded to Kubuntu 22.04 from 21.10.
