It is not easy to know how to sort those out. So after checking bugzilla I search the archives of the Developer mailing list but it is a while before their workarounds filter over to the User list. http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=lyx-devel sometimes this archive is down, so I use http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-devel@lists.lyx.org/ http://www.lyx.org/internet/mailing.php has a link to the LyX Wiki which is also searchable. I 've seen your problem reported before but can't remember the details. If it is new, he or someone will direct you to file a bug report. LyX->Tools->Preferences->Language settings-> Language, has a default setting for Language: Is yours set to French? LyX137 is very stable and has received a lot of polish. The developers have made Aspell compatible for both LyX137 and LyX14x and the default installation of LyX14x creates a separate installation folder up in .../Application data Lyx1.4.x, so that preferences are not confused or overwritten. I think it is prudent to preserve the LyX137 version as some functions may not have survived the major transition to LyX140. Though this is useful information, I will look around for something more specific to a solution for you, and maybe somebody directly involved with your problem will correct it. Stephen Harris a écrit : But did you uninstall Cygwin? Cygwin comes with a different version of sh.exe and sed.exe than Minsys. So if you put Minsys ahead of Cygwin in windows Path, then LyX will read that directory before Cygwin.
