Will,
The M100 main rom supports CP/M, i suppose that is obvious.
Cpm memory space is totally separate from the M100 memory. Both the upper
and lower 33k banks are RAM for cpm. In m100 mode, you have the standard
main rom in the lower 32k, and different ram in the upper 32k.

I should mention that thr hard thing in this upgrade is to desolder the
80C85 and to solder instead a socket into which you plug an adapter board

One thing about the LCD; if the lcd driver write acknowledge signal is
broken, the cpu will be caught in an endless loop waiting for thr drivers
to write successfully.
In this state the cpu would be running but in a software loop polling the
driver write ack signal.
Sounds like a possibility

There is a guy in the UK, Sarah Libman, who has published his modified M100
main rom to take out ADDRS and SCHED, and include an expanded Teeny.
The documented assembly is a good start for further changes, or use as is!

this is really confusing. I just re-captured the binary from the original
option ROM, and it is identical as far as I can tell as the one at
bitchin100.
Furthermore, it works in my real hardware and VirtualT, with and without
REX#.
So, I am stumped.

Hi Dan,
I don't know of a single rom for M10.
I think the best bet is actually to use the M100 ROM in thr M10. That way
you get all M100 roms in the M10.
I have posted a modified M100 rom at the bitchin100 wiki that runs in a
Qwerty M10.

Looking tonight at the hooks table for the M100.
I see in my references that the last named hook in the hook table is
H.MLOAD 005E .EQU FB38
So, the hook H.MLOAD is offset by 5E bytes (5E = 94d, which means the 48th
hook in the table). The jump location is at FB38.
However,
It appears that

George,
for DVI use, is that intended for 40 columns?
Is there a way you could put in a switch to enable 80 column mode?
thx

Mike,
XR4 did not have any "protect the user from switching an installed ROM"
functionality.
It just hard-switched. You can see that when you disassemble the utilities.
I think it had a couple of flip flops on the flex-board that wrapped the
RAM chip.
But I can't say for sure. I don't have an
Yah the keep was fun. Gotta do that again.
Greg - would there be a way to provide the M100 escape codes so that
terminal emulation would work better?
