I keep forgetting to test whether this is needed, but just in case it only
charges while actually powered on, you could try this: Plug in to wall
powere, turn on, go into basic, type "power cont" enter, and just leave it
like that over night. The command tells it not to power itself off after 10
It's probably worth replacing even if you get it working. I proactively
replaced mine that was working fine and was glad that I did. When I
removed it I could see the corrosion beginning that had not yet made its
way down the terminals to the motherboard. Incidentally, I ordered what
claimed to
I will try that. Thank you.

My left Shift key only works intermittently. I have tried to treat it with
some DeOxit but is doesn’t seem to do the trick. Any other possible fixes?

I meant REX, I can't really aford to buy one right now, but I want to at some
point so it's good to know it's still possible to get one (and specifically one
that works for my T200).

After leaving the M100 plugged into the wall for a few hours, it still won’t
keep my files when turned off. I assume that the battery is dead. I have
ordered the one that you referenced below. Thank you!

My V key has stopped working and before I cannibalize the keyboard from my
other M100 I am also interested in alternatives.

A few months ago David Boyd did manage to fix a bad keyboard with the problems
you are having. It involved taking the key apart and removing the conductive
foam disk then lightly scrapping the disk to remove the oxidation. Hopefully
he can chime in with the exact method. At least worth a try
REX seems to have disappeared from OSHPark.
Someone asking me for a molex socket just told me they had to upload board
files from one of the zips, and of course isn't sure if it's going to be
right.
My build directions don't document how to do that, since I don't know what
are the exact correct
Thanks, I will leave it plugged in with the PSU for a while and see if it
works. Memory Power Switch is indeed ON.

My M100 came in today and I love it. For now I have it running on 4 AA but if
I turn it off, it loses the files that I created. Is it becomes the onboard
battery is dead? What replacement should I get?

Some thoughts. First, you may just need to let the NiCd charge for a
but. Second, check the protect switch on the bottom of the laptop.
If you do need to replace it, here is the battery you need.

I'm not
I used this one for my M100:

It is an NiMh version of the battery.

Pretty sure the T200 version is the same just a different CPLD and software
load.

I was assuming he meant the T200 RAM modules. You can find those on
eBay pretty regularly - someone is clearly making them still.
