What do you mean by an update? I didn't have to update any software.

You wouldn't have had to update anything. They updated the accessibility of
the app store on the back end. Remember, the app store is all server sided,
so it doesn't require an update on our part for Apple to fix problems like
this. They can do so dynamicly on the back end, seemlessly.
Hi all
A while ago, somebody on list made an enquiry regarding a data recovery
solution. As it happens, I have just found myself in a situation where I was
in need of just such a utility. So my first port of call was the Apple App
Store and, to my very great surprise, I came across a little

Have you all thought of trying Superdooper? It's way cheaper, and it
actually makes a 100% snapshot image of whatever drive volume partition you
wish. It's ridiculously accessible, and the documentation might as well
have been written for an infant, as it is so easy to understand.
hi Chris
Super Duper! is not at all the same. Super Duper! is a volume backup/restore
utility, not a data recovery utility. For the record, yes, we at Mac Access
Dot Net are registered license holders of Super Duper! and also Carbon Copy
Cloner. Lynne actually wrote a very good article
Oh, ok. Gotcha. Sorry for the mix up. Now I'm feeling kind a dumb.

Hi Chris
No need to feel dumb or anything like it, it was an innocent mistake which
anybody could have made. In all probability I didn't explain well enough in
the first instance, hence the error.
But yes, you are quite correct in your assertion of Super Duper! as an almost

So, what exactly is the biggest difference, aside from CCC being free, where
Superdooper isn't, between the two products?

CCC is no longer free. they made it a pay model, at least if you want to use
it on ml. and I paid for it. It is a wonderful piece of kit at least for me.
I've used super duper as well, but this is just personal preference. I've never
owned a recovery thing for the mac and I might regret it at
Ok. I had to restore my phone to the latest version of ios6 6.0.1 or what ever
it is. so I did that, except I forgot to back up my stuff to the computer
first. Ok. fine. I have iCloud. Goody gum drops. except triple click home does
not start voice over. I know others have had this problem. if
Hi Sarah,
My first thought is that the volume might be down.
Another idea is try the three-finger double-click.
It might be that speech is turned off, so even turning voiceover on and off
can't be heard because speech is off.
Speech can be off, but voiceover is running.
HTH.

Actually I got it to work. hither of what you said was the case. what happens
is this, I think.
The iPhone's screen locks and you can't do much with that so you have to hit
home, wait for about a sec on and then hit home again. I'm going to put a
podcast up in about a few weeks when my site
Hi,
I think what you need to do first is unlock the phone with the lock button, and
then you can use triple click home. At least, that would make sense, as far as
it goes. Glad you got it working anyhow.

Zack.

OK, this isn't going to be anything hard. No formulas, and no adding ranges
of cells etc. This isn't even going to be numerical in nature.
Basically, I know I could use Pages, and do this, but I'd like a little
challenge to kind a step a bit out of my comfort zone. So, here's the
In essence, there is a bug where a restored phone for some unknown reason
doesn't have triple click home set for VO. There are unfortunately other things
that can make it seem like this.
1, VO or phone volume being right down.
If you have any sight, doing a 3 finger triple tap will turn on
CCC is no longer freeware, it's shareware nowadays. CCC has a few more
advanced options and the interface is quite different.

Hook it up to your Mac and go into the summary tab on the device from iTunes.
There you'll find an option to configure universal accessibility.

One way to find out the answers to these questions is to try it out and see
what happens. Seriously, you'll learn alot more by doing than asking. All
these things are perfectly suited to spreadsheet applications, and are
easily done. Unfortunately, I use Excel exclusively, but I'm sure Numbers

ok. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be imposing. Now, I feel my question was
inappropriately asked, and maybe very idiotic. Sorry for being so dumb.
I'll go find my answers to my Voiceover questions elseware if that's how you

You can do everythgi with numbers you asked. I don't know how to edit as I use

I can't do that. or in that case I could not do that. I restored my phone so
the restore screen was up and there is no way to get out of it. Try it. restore
the phone and don't touch it. plug the phone in and you will get this phone was

OK, I want to take F3, and G3 and add them both with the result appearing
dynamicly into H3.
Currently, I have a number in F3, and another in G3. in H3, I typed:
=F3+G3.
That is basically all that shows up though in H3. It's not sending the

I don't use that function, but is there an insert menu and a formulas menu?
maybe the formulas in pages are different then the ones in the equivalent in
