When I want to read a long PDF file I interact wit the test area and then press
command+a to select all the text and then use the services option of preview to
move the selected text into a new textedit window. I then save the textedit
document as an RTF file which is then easy to

If you're having trouble with previews continous view, try the single
page view instead. This will only allow one page at a time to be
vissible to vo, so that you won't be dropped back at the beginning of
the document. There's some tricks for staying where you want to be
in the preview ap
Try the app I use called Skim It works just swimmingly when dealigin with pdfs.
