cost. I'd have to look it up, but I remember VMWare Fusion costing some
money. I believe it was somewhere around fifty bucks or so in USD. I don't

When I Bootcamped my MacBook I was expecting to be bothered with the hassle of
having to boot to one or the other, but I'm definitely not. I've used VMware
Fusion in the past and found both pros and cons to it vs. Bootcamp. These pros

I was hoping that once VM Fusion was running with Windows CCC would consider it
part of the Macintosh HD and just back up the whole thing. I could then
ultimately ditch bootcamp. It sounds like that is not the case.

THe question is whether or not you're running a VM with a virtualized hard
disk. If you do that, then yes, the VM is just one more file for CCC to back
up on your Macintosh HD. If not, and you use the Bootcamp partition with
Fusion, I'm not sure what happens, as I've never needed
this Bootcamp partition so that if I have a Hard
disk disaster I can not only restore my Macintosh HD with Carbon Copy Cloner
but also put that Bootcamp partition back?
Can I simply use CCC and back it up to a partition? If I do that and copy it

Not having an optical drive isn't a problem as I have another Mac and can
use target mode, and I have an external drive besides.
The question I have is, after one installs Windows typically you insert your
Snow Leopard DVD in order that the Mac can load
