It could also be that apps like ripit are trading in dangerous waters as it is officially illegal to break encryption even though you have the right to make backup copies. But without breaking the encryption (as feeble as it is) you can't exercise your rights to a backup. Thus the conundrum.

The 600f is working, but the ocr programs don't seem to be nearly as flexible and feature rich as Omnipage for Windows. Specifically, it does not seem possible to select portions of the image that you want ocr done on. But that's not a voice over issue, so not for the list. It is surprising
