This gets a bit into marketing but each core is dual threaded so it looks like, and often works like two CPUs. So as far as OSX is concerned you have 8 CPUs available. So giving Fusion 2 CPUs should be just fine as that will only be 25% of your available capacity. Even then, it's not like

Every time I open Mail on my Macbook Pro 2012 model running Mavericks the view, sort by submenu is always reset to oldest message on top. I can go in and change this to newest message on top and all is fine. But when I re-open Mail it reverts back to sorting by oldest message on top. Any ideas?

Hi, I haven't seen the sound bug. I have encountered the Keyboard commander bug though. I find that turning VO on/off will only fix it for a few minutes. I have to restart my Mac for it to go away for a longer stretch of time. This hasn't happened a lot but it's definitely noticeable.
