Hi, Just to clarify, cmd-o opens anything and everything. There's no distinction between applications or folders or files. When dealing with folders, it usually depends on the format of the window. That is, whether you have it in Icon view, List view, Column view etc. Later... Tim Kilburn

There are a lot of ways you could do this. My favourite is to set finder to columnn view command 3. Make this seting stick in finder preferences. Thus, right arrow expands a folder to show the contents. Left arrow collapses the folder and moves up one level. Hope this helps, Erik Burggraaf

Arnold, save your computer CPU cycles and or money, I’m not sure one needs any software like on windows assuming you use safe computing practices, generally don’t download much from the web and don’t use any weird alternate app stores.  Don’t open attachments and all that, the real common sense
