How do I know if it's a Nuance voice that I am using? Are they all Nuance
voices except for Alex and some of the low quality voices? I have surely
noticed that when I want to change voices it is a very sluggish process. I

The other thing I have noticed in Mavericks and iOS 7 with the Karen voice is
that it pronounces some vowel sounds incorrectly. Use Karen in Mavericks or iOS
7 to read the following word fragments, which all end in the letter a for
alpha, and hear what I mean:
