Right. Thought that was kind of silly, but maybe all that hex will tell
someone something we mere users can't possibly decipher on our own.
I think before anything else gets done about this problem, I'm going to
downgrade back to Catalina from a Time Machine full backup made just
before the
I believe the crash file you sent said it was a 16 inch machine. Or maybe that
was the revision of iMac. In any case, unless one has the source code, none of
the information in that file is very useful.
It does tell you there are 9 threads and thread 7 (the eight thread ) crashed.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Taking it in to a real Apple store isn't
outside the realm of possibility, but it's a great big 21.5" iMac, and
since it's going on four-and-a-half years old, the shipping packaging is

that? Would
Wow. That is interesting. I am having inconsistency issues with a standard
Apple wireless keyboard. This is one of the older original ones, and it some
times stops working and I need to reconnect it. I have not, though, encountered
a device causing that kind of an error.

After upgrading a 2016 iMac 21.5" i5 machine from Catalina to Big Sur,
an interesting problem has reared its quite ugly head. When a Kensington
Expert Mouse trackball is connected via Bluetooth and the system is shut
down in the normal way, it goes almost all the way down to black, then
