Same here, although I don't shut down Voiceover. What I do is command+tab out of the app store and then press that same command again to go back in and usually Voiceover behaves properly. Actually, this has gone on in the early stages of El Capitan. I've sent them feedback about this issue

Hi Chris. Sounds like a restart is in order for you. I ran into the same problem as you did and I found that a simple reboot did the trick. Hope that solves your problem, and talking about Daniel, I wasn’t impressed with his HQ voice sample. It sounds like he made him more robotic than ever.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong here, and it should be so simple, so maybe I am missing something. I am trying to reinstall a previous purchase from the mac app store, and when I go to purchases, the page tells me I must sign in to the Mac App store to see my purchase. Ok that is fine

Hmmm, I am not sure I understand what you mean when you say you cannot OCR within the app. I can OCR within prizmo. If you did not OCR in prizmo than how did you OCR with Prizmo to compare to abbyy? :) I was hoping Prizmo was a good trade off because the price for Prizmo was quite a bit less

Hi, I am barely fiddling with the mac app but I figured out how to do a scan. If you go to file and click on new, then VO around in the window that opens up until you hear something like import from camera and scanner. Select that than VO and interact until you find the name of your scanner. I
