Regardless of how you have your keyboard preferences set, the Fn key is not
required when doing CMD plus F5 to start VoiceOver.

I went ahead and got a new mini a few weeks ago even though it had not been
updated since 2014, seeing what Apple has introduced, I do not regret that
decision. It's plenty fast for what I need it to do and the new minis start at

OS X usually has great printer support built in. THe best thing you can do is
just to plug it in and see if it shows up under print and fax in system
preferences.

My experience with my new Mac Mini Server edition is it will work fine, but
it won't change any settings you change and the next time you restart it
will revert to previous settings.

As previously mentioned, you can also use the rigged up VGA to NTSC/PAL
converter box to trick the Mac into thinking a real monitor is hooked
up. Check the mail archive for details or post back if you can't find
them and want to go that route.
