In the last couple of weeks, I have not been able to select apps in the grid
view of my apps that need to be updated. I can’t select them to read the info

I think you should be able to create one through iTunes. At least that's how I

turned on by chance? When you try to boot into recovery, it prompts you for
the password? If this is the case, try typing your Apple ID and then your
password to see if that will unlock the system for you.
