well with VoiceOver, as long as browsers and such are up to date. You also

the sound quality good enough to hear the words on audiobooks. That is mainly

Pages? I have tried and get very frustrated with the process. If you've had
better luck, please share. I do have some hotkeys assigned to my most used

I don't think so. The hardware diagnostics are supposed to run
independent of whatever is stored on your hard drive and such. They
would need to load some shell of OSX to get speech and load up voices
from the hard drive. The hardware diagnostics should be running at a

Yes, I have been having problems. I associated them with installing Airfoil,
but it could easily be the Mavericks update that started the same issue.
Turning VO off and on again gets my audio back though.

Try using vo + j to jump between the message list and the message text. Once
you jump to the text, you can read it with the arrow keys. Then use vo+j to go

VoiceOver on. It always works for me.
As for setting a new style and a hotkey, here is what to do.
* Press VO-Space on the Paragraph styles button.
