braille commands. Its labeled "go to linked item". That works fine.

list of messages to the list of folders by pressing Shift+Tab, and back again
with Tab.
I think the original question asked about navigating using a Braille display,
but I’m not sure which keys would
Well, as Herbie said, you can use the "move to linked item” command.
Another possibility is to set up hot spots for the message list and mailbox
list.
If you want to get more complicated and make sure that mail is running, then a
two or three line AppleScript should be able to do this.

I normally use the numeric keyboard to move the VoiceOver cursor. This works
fine except when I am in an edit box. Then pressing say the 5 key on the
numeric keyboard enters the digit 5 in the edit field. This did not happen in

This problem with the unresponsive finder has been getting worse for a while
now, but it is making it more difficult for me to use the machine now. I had
to wait several minutes this time after I rebooted the Mac. Then it just was
very slow instead of completely unresponsive. I know that
Bummer. Its getting to be a habit now. :)

Thanks. I figured it out. Once you find “english”,use VO + right to move to
the list of available voices. At the bottom of this list is “Manage voices”
where you can download additional voices.
