A way to reproduce would be to use your own gmail address to send email to your
server, block your email address in the incoming rules of the server while
assigning a 5xx code to it, send the message from gmail and wait for a bounce

i remember when folks were complaining to MAPS that AOL was bouncing
inbound e-mail with an SMTP error code showing a MAPS.VIX.COM URL.
i remember replying that AOL was free to bounce whatever they wanted for
whatever reason they chose, and coined "their network, their rules."
