will read in their MIF file, replace with an appropriate projection and then
import into Mapinfo. However the string that defines the projection has

What I mean by that is - instead of linking a table from an ODBC
source into MapInfo, I want to read a native (not linked) MapInfo table into

You could use, "EasyLoader.mbx" to upload the table into the ODBC.

As a VAR, I do have some strong opinions...
1.There is a cost to MapInfo just to stay current. Every time Windows
comes out with a new version, there's work for MapInfo just to make it work
correctly. So they need to come out with maintenance releases.

The problem is not likely to be with the import, as far as I can tell MI
creates the objects in the order they are read off the MIF. Your issue is
likely to be the order MI draws them. This has been discussed on the list
before and understanding the drawing order seems to require expertise in

We have MapInfo 4.5 RunTime, MapBasic 4.1 application, Win98.
Sometimes program break with Win error, when map window redrawing.
Computer says:"Program executed impossible operation"

I have a table with a of 200 stores (Table A) and their lat longs and
another group of 1600 stores (Table B) with their lat longs. How in a
sql statement would I find distance from all the stores in Table A to
Table B. I can figure out how to do it from a specific store lat/long
