This is because OBJ_INFO_TYPE returns a
smallint. For some reason MB cannot compare a smallint with an
integer.
The method above turns it into a string,

Hi Richard,
It would help to know what you mean by crashes. Does it GPF, if so what
module?
Usually it is down to the ODBC driver not being capable of what MapInfo
requires.
You can turn on ODBC logging in the ODBC section of control panel. Check
the logs to see if you get any further into.
I need to find a way to convert section/range/township data into Lat/Long.
Is there an utility that will handle this? I am trying to avoid the manual
map conversion method which would be a long and lengthy project.

works ok, but one directory of large databases (each .dat is 60 to 70 Mb)
presents problems.
On verify or restore of this directory (using NT Backup, NT4 service pack

Hello List,
I have several USGS DRG Quads and I would like to combine them into one seamless
map. My question is how would I do this? Are there any utilities out there or
software I need to purchase? Any help would be appreciated. TIA

By pixel coordinates, one should understand the pixel positions (row, column
from the upper left corner). This technique assumes that registration points
keep the same (geographic) coordinates but refer to new positions in the
pixel space through a "scaling" factor (in your example

I have done it in the opposite direction when taking low res multispectral

I have to do a paper on "Future of GIS products" next week. I have a
number of ideas, as well as a fair amount of navel gazing articles, but
would be interested if anyone has a particular slant that they would care
to share or if anyone has seen any articles that have inspired them
recently.
