There is a nice adjunct business idea to go with the genset manufacturers. Get some cheap microcontrollers and watt meters and temp sensors and whatever, network them together, and have them figure out what needs power when, do some scheduling and management, and tell the genset what to do.

Not really necessary, as the coolant will disappear when you drain the block. Whilst the block and radiator are draining, change the thermostat. The M103 motor is a pain to change the coolant in, as it traps air up the top and there is a special plug at the top of the head to let the air out.

A cheap battery will give cheap results. About 2 years ago the battery in my Dell failed. I got an inexpensive replacement (Dell wanted ~$150, the inexpensive replacement was about $80) the replacement lasted about 9 months before it inexplicably failed completely. Ended up buying a full price
