a full hour the cold temps don't effect me as much as the transition to winter

Our Diesel Passat produces plenty of heat at 0F. The heated seats do help

I've been dabbling with Ubuntu running as a VM in VirtualBox, which for
various reasons had no internet access.
I found it beyond my meager IT skills to add any software beyond what came
in the Ubuntu download. In other words, I wanted to load PuTTY from a CD
vice a
I find Ubuntu very locked down. I've had better luck with Mint, Mepis and Puppy
which is what I'm typing this on right now...
