Maybe for $3k I'd think
One look convinces me Mercedes made the right decision NOT to go to
production. It takes a otherwise useful and beautiful car and converts it
into an useless monster. Suddenly, parking and entrance/egress become an
issue. If someone parks to close, you are locked out till they move. Water
What no thumping sub-woofers? Wheels are too small...

1962 300SE...several thousand dollars to clear the title in CA.
The PO and their estate had not registered the car for some years...
I got a bill of sale from the estate attorney and sent it off to
Alabama with a check for $150 or thereabouts.
The Frankenheap was CA plated, and ten years ago
Florida is not as forgiving, and CA was adamant that they would provide nothing
in the way of a title or registration without the back fees being settled.
I wasn't keen about washing the title, but it made the most sense and was
also quick and easy.
I had plenty of documentation to show the
Anybody have experience with the slk? Title is not an issue to me.
Gump was never going to be perfect, so I am ok with a car with minor
issues.
An SLK with a roof that doesn't go down might not be a minor issue.
The cars are very small, you'll sure notice that vs Gumpy. Very
little storage

My buddy the used car dealer says rebuilt title is a 50% deduction.
Also, I see unwrecked low mile SLK230s for $8-10k, and very nice but higher mile
(120-150k) for $6-8k. This one was wrecked and obviously still needs
Here's a low mile 1999 in Houston and the roof works:

Not Alabama?
Was the POS SDL title-washed, or just an ordinary POS?
That POS SDL was not even titled in TX. He just drove it around with dealer
plates, still had the MD title. rolled back odo. I think he messed up the car
and had the porch monkeys play with it before he tossed it on ebay. No
disrespect meant, but they boys were just lolling on the porch,
I am not familiar with title washing. What's it mean and what's wrong
with it?

Say you have a car that is a lemon, or has repaired damage, or you lost the
title, or ... some other thing, rolled back odo. You can go to these places
and claim you need a new title. They issue it and you get a car with no history
of issues. Flood damage just goes away. Odometer is now

At least it is the interior that is limpy, not the engine or
