These diesels do not have electronic fuel pumps. Once started, these motors
needs no electricity to stay running.
It would be nice if it were that simple.

I thought the way they were measured for horsepower output was quite
different. In the US the measure from the end of the crankshaft, the
Euros measure from the driving wheels. Fair amount of mechanical loss
that way, no?

All the diesel VW's I've seen have electric fuel pumps, so I would assume
that no juice means no vroom. Some models may be different, however.

genuine Mercedes tool (which is made by Iwis, btw, the chain
manufacturer). The cheap eBay tool will not press on the middle plate

Zerex makes it in the USA, and sells it as G-05.
Does anyone have a scan of the graphical diagram for using diesel purge that
used to come with it?
