Larry - My car's exhaust consists of 3 pieces - front pipe, mid pipe and
resonator, and rear pipe and muffler. The front pipe (engine to mid-joint)
ends in a flare, that connects via a donut to the mid section flare end that
includes a resonator (or first muffler). The flared joint is clamped

I remember shopping for a W115 300D back in 1983 and how many of these cars
were already crapped out at that time. This will be in great demand one day
(to the extent a sedan can ever achieve collector status). The lack of

The Becker Grand Prix in my 91 300D 2.5T doe the same thing - the radio
normally turns on/off with the ignition switch. But it can be turned on

expensive thing you could fry, so it's a bad place to start.
Undervoltage will kill motors, though well pumps these days
