At $1000 I'd be all over it but the interior picture, the trunk picture and the

I am a total newbie.
I've been dabbling with Ubuntu running as a VM in VirtualBox, which for
various reasons had no internet access.
I found it beyond my meager IT skills to add any software beyond what came
in the Ubuntu download. In other words, I wanted to load PuTTY from a CD

I need to set up a Linux system on a laptop so I can run a Linux VM, probably
VirtualBox. I'm thinking Ubuntu, but I'm not partial to any one particular
distro.
This is just for training purposes, nothing long term. I need it to be simple
and easy to set up.

Our Diesel Passat produces plenty of heat at 0F. The heated seats do help

I don't know, it was due for timing chain and a bunch of other work,

probably wholesale it off to some used dealer and unsuspecting buyer.

Truckstop here dropped from 3.35 to 3.29 over night. Major C-store
chain downtown has dropped from 3.49 to 3.35 during the day
yesterday. FINALLY some substantial drops, but nowhere near what it
should be for the price of crude.
Oh, and the place I trust most had dropped to 3.49 yesterday.
I can almost always fill the Jetta for less than $50. I paid less than $40 the
other day, of course it only needed 10 gallons after 500 miles of travel. :)

I have been amazed at the huge disparity in gasoline and diesel prices around

There is no toada that is worth the price IMHO. I don't believe I
will ever buy a toada. For new ones, the stealers want over list
