My Dad refused to work on automotive electrical stuff, said by
electrical/electronic engineering standards not of it should work and it was
full of feedback loops, etc, and that was before 1976.
Glad it was something simple and easy to fix.

Yep, $1M, properly invested, would be a safety net and provide a livable if
spartan income indefinitely if needed, or could be a very comfortable
retirement eventually if allowed to compound for long enough.
Most people would not do that, they would spend it all fairly quickly and then
be back

Yeah. Diesel for the win here I think. These gassers are very inefficient.
I will keep pouring premium into ours as long as California will allow, but
fundamentally the car does not need the million ft lb of torque it seems to
have. It is very quiet, however, compared to the klatta klatta.

Sort of looks like he should have had a reserve bid price.
I think this car was for sale here for a while. I don't recall the
asking price but it does look like a nice car.
The fact that it is in Arborg is the clue that it is one that was
offered locally.
Looks decent but not generating a bidding war (yet), perhaps due to
Manitoba location. Here's your chance to own a Modern Mercedes, Randy.
