If we are suggesting good small colleges, I'd suggest checking out Lynchburg College in Lynchburg VA. Very good facilities, very good faculty [at least when I was there]. Because it is in the frozen Northland [which they would hotly dispute] they have indoor as well as outdoor sports facilities.
