Even if nobody is making it now it'll only be a matter of time. The things fail with regularity don't they? Theres a large number of 124s running around, its seems like it'd be silly for somebody to not make some money off them. As far as I know, there is no insert in the W124 monovalve, I've had to replace the entire thing when they fail. Three so far... I can't find a source for a monovalve (aka heater control valve) insert. Plenty of places want to sell me the entire valve for $150 give or take. EPC doesn't list it as a separate part. That's what I was afraid of. I may put a light on the connection, see if the PBU is calling for heat when I've dialed in AC, make sure the issue really is the valve. I've never had to figger out how to fix that. On the 110/111/112, all I needed was 2 orings and a little water pump grease. Are you talking about the entire valve assembly? I don't think an insert is available, so if the monovalve fails the entire assembly must be replaced. I have never found just the valve, I believe you must replace the whole thing. It's not at all like the ones on the W123 and W126. Dealer only now. Unless you want a horrible chinese one that will start acting up in a few weeks. If you can't find one, that a good sign: they stopped making the crappy ones. Unfortunately, they're not cheap from the dealer.
