You remove the bolt and the front plate comes off, next you have to remove a c clip way down inside the pulley. Very difficult if not impossible to remove with it on the car. If you have a used compressor you can try swapping it. I have tried to do this a couple of times and it didn’t last

If you are using propane "test" refrigerant, you need the mineral oil, anything with R134 needs the PAG or ester base oil -- PAG is too polar for propane, and mineral oil isn't polar enough for R134a In either case you are risking a compressor failure due to lack of lubrication, I'd make sure

The clutch can be replaced inflame, however, most shops don't want to do it. My son's 300E 2,6 has a bad clutch coil and I can't find one other than to buy a whole clutch. I really don't want to have to replace the compressor and have to deal with everything that goes with it Dan On Apr

The brand new R4 compressor that i put in my 982 300td came with new clutch+pulley nothing to change my impression is that the clutches rarely fail unless perhaps the compressor locks up and fries it, but usually the belt will break pretty quickly if the compressor is locked down
