It's amazing how often things aren't all that broken,
and if you're willing to expend a little time and don't
care too much about the cosmetics you can save quite
a bit of cash. Not to mention the built-in smugness
factor of having saved something from the landfill.
But you lose too, sometimes.

I took some JB Weld and glued the key into the keyway and made the
hole a bit smalller. It took some fitting with a file and some
sandpaper but now everything fits tightly again. I was concerned about
strength but I mowed the lawn and everything was fine. It's not
ShoeGoo but not bad...

out and cleaned up and the first piece of metal cut to fit. I'm getting faster
at the prep work. It'd be nice to see my welding improve...
