I repaired a steel case 4 speed years ago for a guy. It was run dry and
run on 90W hypoid. Neither are good for it. I replaced one gear and a
bunch of synchro rings and some bearings. It is pretty straightforward
inside. Just keep everything in order of disassembly, and watch

A quick search of the Peach Parts forum says there is info out there on the
steel case versions, not so much on the aluminum body versions.

I've never seen the inside of an MB manual tranny, but I have rebuilt lots
of little English trannies and a couple of larger American ones and am
guessing that they are similar.

rebuild of a manual transmission, but I think it was out of a 201.
