Diane,
It is so sad, and such an indictment of our broken legal system, that
you have to hassle with this because you did the right thing and went
public with what you knew about a crooked client's attempt to perpetrate
fraud. What's next, burglars suing the owners of a home they were
breakin
Of course I am not a lawyer, but this strikes me as the most frivolous of
lawsuits. The guy gave you a damaged S2 recreation to back, then submitted
it to an auction as an original (either before or after an unnamed other
restorer or amateur added fake "extras" to make it further match the

Hi All -
Just wanted to report that last week I received a Summons for Civil Action.
The Plaintiff is the consigner of the poster (my client). I have yet to figure
out how to get the link for the lawsuit, but if Ed/Sue of LAMP want to add it
to their Lawsuit gallery, it is Superior Court of N
tion house. It is
possible that we may get more information, going forward, from the court system.

The latest development makes this stink higher than for me.
If the Profiles guy is the innocent dupe I have no reason to believe
he isn't, then yes, best he does call in the FBI.
If the FBI are being called in, then that poster would be evidence.

I did linenback the poster and repair the paper. We did add some text, but we
did NOT add "Morgan Litho Co" that was added by someone ELSE, and have pictures
to prove it.
I don't blame you for being confused, with this latest development, I am
confused and shell shocked.
Diane
I'm a little confused. Who was the restorer who first mounted the one
sheet on linen? It sounds as if Diane entered mid-stream in the process. Is
that the case? If it is--does anyone know who was the initial restorer?
Rick
Hi Diane,
I think you should go to LA and examine the poster for yourself... This will
clear most of any doubt.

OK
OK people, I am really confused here, to see John's updated status on the
poster today.
I called Brian at Profiles today, and he did not take my call, or did he return
the call. So mid day, I called John. John told me that he had the poster and
was going to un-mount it, in the presence of R

I completely agree.

Pretty sad - even in his report he slams the competition restorers more than he
takes blame for messing this authentication up.
Wonder when the

Wonder when the auction for John Davis' "ife" will start?

I noticed, the other day, when I was able to look at a photo of the Profiles
poster, and zoom in to the lower , right corner, I saw that the text, "Morgan
Litho Co." was there. We did not add that text to the poster in my shop.
Thanks for the info, Diane..
So did you do the initial linen backing of this poster as well as any
restore work that was done to it? I know you mentioned a type of
cardboard backing or something similar was initially on the copy you
worked on.

yesterday, first thing in the AM. I spoke with him for quite awhile and
answered any questions that he had. I called him back later in the afternoon,
and he said they were going to do some comparisons, that he would
