   Forest banded for almost 40 years and only stopped because he could no longer carry the poles into the field. He banded about 80 species of birds and over 40,000 individuals.    Forest wrote articles for the Loon. He had more published on birds than on religion/theology. The latest articles

Forest was the 20th President of the MOU in 1961 and 1962. He was one of the first to serve 2 years. Since that time serving 2 years is more common but it wasn't in those days. We also remember that he had spent some time bird banding but somebody else will have to fill us in on that. Denn

We will be traveling from Iowa to the Vince Shute refuge in Orr MN for the weekend. We would like to know of any good birding areas around the refuge or on the way. We will stop by the sax zim bogs first time there any advice? We will be coming via 35. We are interested in photographing loons if
